Music Highlights ‘08
2008 was a strange year for my obsessions, design & type became work rather than joy and music shifted again as the fundamental fluid on my mind. I’ve decided to pick up 15 albuns that came out in 08 that i really enjoyed and revisted frequently. Soon I realized that I had to break them apart into 3 main style/genre so that I could get some order and coherence on it.
Besides metal, ambient/drone was the big surprise this year. I’ve always loved cinematographic/ambient moods and it seems that this style of music is getting bigger and bigger.
This was also the year of Clogs, one of the most intense and unique bands that I’ve ever found on recent years. Simply untouchable, maybe there will be a new album in 09 for them.
